Music clubs

Unfortunately we had to cancel primary music club this term because we needed the extra lunchtime for our choir for the coming performance. Primary Music Club will be back in term 4.

We also have some secondary students on Fridays coming to lean an instrument. Some students ask me for help and some prefer to play the instrument on their own and explore the instrument for themselves. It is good to see some students using this opportunity. The secondary Music Club is on Fridays 1st half of lunch and is for any secondary student who wishes to learn how to play an instrument. We have drums, guitars and keyboards available to use or the secondary students can bring their own instrument from home.

I would like to remind parents that I would be happy to talk with them about learning an instrument outside of school. I have over 30 years of guitar tutoring experience and I am happy to answer questions at a prearranged time.

Choir

Last term we had many visitors for Choir to see if they would like to be a part of it. This term I am focusing on members only. I need the students to commit to the performance. Because this is a voluntary group, it has been a student centred structure. We selected the song together after trying many songs and now we are working together to come up with dance ideas. I would Like to thank all the students who have been sacrificing half of their lunch to be a part of the choir.

Choir is open for members on Wednesdays and Thursdays 1st half of lunch.
